I typically use 10 or 12 lb test when bass fishing in the smallish New England ponds with moderate to heavy cover. I decided to spool the Senshi Premium 8lb mono and give it a go. The first thing I noticed was how little to no memory it had and how it fit my Abu Garcia Cardinal Spinning Reel. What was really incredible was the casting distance I was getting with this line, on the Cardinal, paired with a 6′ Medium action Ugly Stick. It seemed as if I could cast for miles. The sensitivity of the line allowed me to feel all bottom structure and even those late fall, sheepish taps from the largemouth bass. The fight of a 4 lb fish on this line was amazing. As if you were hooked into a striped bass. The line held up very well against the tree branches, water chestnut and other cover that I had to deal with. Overall, I was truly impressed. Seaguar Senshi Premium Mono is, in fact, tougher than I thought. I am thankful for the great opportunity to try this product.
Senshi from Seaguar provides the ideal balance of strength and sensitivity so you can tackle heavy cover with confidence. This soft, sensitive, thin-diameter line with virtually no stretch easily detects structure, lure action and strikes for improved catch ratios
